A little bit about me ...

Well I'm a thirty something (okay, going on fifty one next birthday) bloke on a mission! In the company of my able assistant, who incidentally doubles up as my partner in life, we intend to complete the Trans Pennine Trail in August this year; cycling from Southport on the west coast of the UK to Hornsea, the last stop before our wheels dip the North Sea, in the east.

We aim to complete it over three days, which is going to be quite a challenge I'm sure. However it pales into insignificance compared to the day to day challenges confronted by people suffering from Motor Neurone Disease and those who care for them.

Awareness of the devastation Motor Neurone Disease can cause hit home when my Dad was diagnosed with MND in November.

Completing this ride we'll be trying to make some small difference by raising money and creating awareness of MND on behalf of the Motor Neurone Disease Association. We'll have some fun planning, preparing and completing our ride #C2C4MND; hopefully you'll continue to read and enjoy the blog, keeping tabs on our progress.

We’ve now created  a “justgiving” link: http://www.justgiving.com/terryroberts23 which you can also visit if you feel so moved. Your support and good wishes, as well as any spare cash, no matter how small will be much appreciated and will make a difference.
